Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly Review

Hey All,
I am feeling super lazy today from the morning. I was just swatching some blushes and lip glosses, walking around the house to click pictures in different light settings :P without doing any other work. (Signs of a beauty blogger huh) Finally, after the swatch works got over, I washed my face to clear my skin. So after that when I opened my beauty case to find a moisturizer, this cutie caught my eyes. Yes! It was sleeping there since I got this in my hand. No, I don't mean that it is a not-so-good product but I didn't use it much from when I got this from Cosmetic Love (A Korean online shopping site for beauty and makeup products) This lovely cookie blusher in Grapefruit Jelly shade from Etude House owns a cute name, packaging and shade. Go read my detailed review to know more on this product.

My Experience with Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly:

Packaging: This is one of the most cutest blushes I own! It comes in a round, soft pink plastic blush pan with a frosted semi transparent lid that shuts tightly. They have provided a cute white puff applicator with this blush and I love it the most. The puff is so soft and has a tiny pink bow on the top of it. Though it looks cute, it is not that useful when it comes to application of the blush. I would suggest a good quality blush brush anytime.

Colour, Texture & Pigmentation: I have no clue why they have named this shade as Grapefruit Jelly but from my view, it looks as a nice matte pink shade which has a slight hint of coral (more on the paler side) with no glitters or shimmers. It is not that chalky but settles matte. This shade looks super natural and is averagely pigmented. And I forget to mention one thing; this blush is fragrance free!

How it works: Though I loved this blush's packaging, shade and etc, this is not MY shade. I have a dusky-dark skin and it washes me out :( Unlucky me. This shade grapefruit jelly, though looks natural is more on the paler side thus making it not so suitable for darker skin tones. The shade on the swatch is just untrue to how it looks on the pan. This blush gives a natural pink shade to fairer cheeks.(Just pink and nothing else) It doesn't even show up on me and if I try to over build, it washes me out! Even though it doesn't suit me, I wore it a whole day to test the staying power etc. This blush stays good for 5-6 hours (It doesn't show up on me much so I am not sure about this part) and then fades away evenly. If you're fair skinned, you can go for this blush. Those who own a pale white skin can use this blush to give a beautiful natural pink flush to their cheeks! Overall, I would say this is a good natural pink blush for the price. They provide a huge quantity too.

PROS of Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly:

  • Natural pink shade for everyday wear
  • No shimmer or glitter present, thus making it suitable for day wear
  • Glides softly onto the skin and settles into a lovely matte finish
  • Good pigmentation and stays for 5-6 hours
  • Less fallout; this powder blush is smoothly milled
  • This blush has a decent staying power
  • OMG! This blush is such a cutie pie when it comes to packaging
  • Suits fair to paler skin types very well to give that natural pink flush
  • Huge quantity; hence lasts longer
  • Reasonable price

CONS of Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly:

  • I agree that the applicator puff is cute; but when it comes to blushing, it is of no use
  • This shades washes out dusky-dark skin tones
  • The shade on the pan and the shade on the cheeks looks entirely different!

Makeup and Beauty Home Rating: 3.5/5

Do I Recommend PROS of Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly?:
I do recommend this blush to very fair skinned girls who would love to have that bit of natural flush on their cheeks. And if you are a collector of cute looking makeup products, go grab it :D

Would I Repurchase PROS of Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly?:

REVIEW: The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel

Just yesterday I had this incessant urge to re-organize my bathroom counter at 11:20 pm! Yup I have these "Monica Gellar" moments once in a while and the pati looks over helplessly while I overhaul the whole house, organizing, reorganizing and refurbish the whole house :P So while organizing my bath and body products, I realised that ALL of my bath and skincare products were from The Body Shop! I realised I am seriously addicted! That is how I realised that there were so many of these TBS products that were still pending review and I picked up the Satsuma Shower Gel for review today :)

First off, it smells divine! It has a warm Orangey fragrance (obviously), which instead of being OTT is actually so refreshing and so yummy that all you want to do is pray that the running hot water in your bath just continues till eternity... I generally have a candle-lit hot shower before bed during the winters, where I pamper myself with luxurious spa salts and all that jazz... But since the Satsuma Shower Gel has come into my life, all I need is this and my spa salts remain forgotten on the bathroom counter :D

It is super moisturising and really not drying! I am telling you this in the winter season so you can imagine how well suited it is for dry skin :) It contains Satsuma Peel Essential Oils that I assume is responsible for the yummy fragrance, Glycerin that helps it be a moisturising product and Community Trade Organic Soya Oil (Brazil) that is rich in essential fatty acids that helps repair skin... It is actually goodness in a bottle :)

The best part about the product is that it leaves behind a beautifully refreshing Orange fragrance in the bathroom :)

Images of the Product:

Ooooohhh And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. It has a refreshing fragrance
2. It is not drying!
3. It smoothly glides on your skin and leaves a residual freshness after the shower.
4. Does not cause any reactions but generally TBS products do not :)
5. Quite easily available at all TBS counters.
6. One bottle goes on for pretty long
7. It lathers easily and really well.

Ouches!!!
I really cannot think of any!

Price:
It costs INR 395/- for 250 ml.

Repurchase?
Oh you bet! I think I have found my HG shower gel and I am so not deviating form it :)

Would I Recommend?
I'd be selfish not to! This is a must try product from Body Shop and if you like luxurious hot showers, you must give this a shot :)

Overall Rating:
10/10

When the Best Time to Drink Milk?

When the best time to drink milk? Morning or night, the habit to drink milk after a big meal. Drinking milk after eating proved to be much less precise. Consumption of milk should not be done one time with large food portions.

Why? Because the absorption of calcium from milk would be very disturbed if coupled with a great meal.

"The iron that we consume when eating large, it will interfere with the absorption of calcium in the body,"

At lunch or dinner, lots of iron comes from red meat or vegetables consumed. The iron is what will inhibit the absorption of calcium.

"Milk is the drink would usefulness due to iron deficiency, then drink the milk should stand alone and not accompanied by a great meal,"

Drinking milk should be the lag time between lunch and dinner.

"In the morning, the iron consumed almost nothing, so the consumption of milk can be done in the morning,"

Don't Panic When the Child was Spotted During Lovemaking

Perhaps the time had no idea in times having sex, the child suddenly entered the room. You will be a bit of panic, don't panic when the child was spotted during lovemaking.
Of course you are afraid of "hot scenes" are recorded in the the child's mind, then he will be raving to his friends. But, take it easy. Before you panic, apply the following two ways:

1. Ask the children to leave the room
Instinctively, usually immediately yell or scold your child to hide the shame. However, Dr Rajan Bhonsle, director of the Heart To Heart Counselling Centre and the dean of the Institute of Human Technology, India, advise not to rush such a vent emotions. Instead, ask your child to leave the room with a firm and wise, but not angry.

Then, get them talking outside the room. Maybe they will feel frightened by what happened, but you have to convince them that the event is not one of them. "If necessary, apologize to the child because you forgot to lock the door and promised not to repeat it again," he advised.

2. Explain to the child
Bhonsle said that shame is the first visible reaction when it happened. "But we have to understand that sex is a part of the conjugal life. In this situation, parents should need to talk to children about this, rather than nothing," he advised.

According Bhonsle, silence will only lead to different perceptions in the minds of children. Children from each age group has different thoughts and reactions to situations like this. It is very important to talk to them to remove the doubts and misunderstandings between them. However, make sure to be open, and adjust the conversation to their age.

For example, at the age of three years. When parents are in a position to see the "weird", they concluded it was an act of violence, which led to his father or his mother injured. This can lead to feelings of fear, or they are afraid of you. Tell your child that no one will get hurt in the process.

Important also explained to children from a young age that after marriage, each partner takes personal time in which children can not take part. Do not forget they get used to knock first before entering your room.

His Smile Easily Make Women Dissolved

How strong is the influence of a smile of man on a woman? Greatly impacted, even his smile easily make women dissolved. Research from the University of Granada showed that women tend to obey him if he emits smile on them.

Reaction women see smile of a man, on many occasions it was recorded by the researchers.
In one experiment, he placed in a dominant position and give orders. At such times, more women will follow orders if he smiled at them. In addition, women also seems to put herself on the submissive side when he smiled at them. Behavior of the man regarded as the warmth, and the reason why women responded shyly.

These findings are likely due to women more dependent on body language when making decisions.

"Even when there is a mismatch between what is said and what is conveyed through body language men, women will choose to assess body language," says body language expert Patti Wood. "If they see the smiles, the interaction would be more fun."

Patti themselves suggest to women to not get dissolved by smiling men, especially when they are at work. To prevent you from being manipulated by their smiles, you should avoid yourself smiling. Because, smiling even make women look even lower.

"If you smile while providing an important statement, it makes you weaker statement," said Patti. "Think before you respond to verbal language. If a man says something sexist you an even smile, he would feel it is fine."

Overall, Patti suggested that women no longer rely solely on a man's body language to make a decision. Furthermore, they should be aware of their own body language.
